The Garden Route Safari Camp is situated near Mossel Bay in the South Western Cape, nestled between the majestic Langeberg and Outeniqua Mountains close to the unspoilt Indian Ocean, in the heart of the Garden Route.

Only a 20- minute drive from George Airport (transfers can be arranged with the lodge) with daily flights from Johannesburg International Airport and Cape Town International Airport. 

This location makes it one of the most accessible wilderness reserves in the Garden Route. We are a mere 10 minutes from the charming coastal town of Mossel Bay and less than an hour away from the well-known town of George.

While visiting us you will see large numbers of eland that share the habitat with zebra, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, ostrich, greater kudu, waterbuck, bontebok, southern giraffe as well as lions and an abundance of birdlife. The unique flora is awe-inspiring.

Luxury Safari Tents

Each luxury tent offers accommodation for two people. You can choose between a luxurious double room (one king-size bed) and a comfortable twin room (two separate ¾ beds). Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and a romantic outside shower, where you will be enticed by the aroma of the bush and the beauty of nature...

Each tent has a private deck from where you can enjoy the breathtaking views over the reserve.

The setting of these luxury tents is ideal for couples on a romantic break-away. How fantastic to spend time together, away from the daily rush, sitting on your private deck, overlooking the wilderness.

Lodge Family Rooms

These luxury family units have 2 bedrooms with Room 1 consisting of a queen size bed and with the children's room upstairs which feature a private deck.  

Mountain View Loft

This holiday home has a balcony, fireplace, 3 bedrooms that can sleep 6 people and tea and coffee making facilities.

Please Note:

• No children under 6 yrs.
• NO SELF CATERING UNITS – all meals to be reserved at the Restaurant.

Activities at Garden Route Safari Lodge

• Early Bird Game Drive takes off just before sunrise which is around 6h50 during winter (From R550pp) and 7h00 during summer.
• Late Bloomer Game Drive takes off a little after sunrise which is around 10h00 during winter and during the summer (From R550pp).
• Sundowner Game Drives (From R550pp) departs around 15h00 during winter season and around 16h00 during summer.
• Guided Bushwalk for approximately 2 hours discovering nature (From R710pp) absolutely unique experience.

Day visitors: Though we are a Boutique Lodge we schedule game drive activities as well as lite lunches at our Giraffe Valley Restaurant – to be reserved a day in advance.
